I did it. I only wrote a few days this week, but I managed to get 3,500 words in.
I also wrote a piece of flash fiction for a contest and submitted it a little while ago. The amount I wrote this weekend was actually a bit silly because I wrote four different versions of the flash story. It was also silly because none of those words counted for my challenge, as the challenge was to write 500 words in my contemporary fantasy romance novel every day.
I also broke 15k in my novel, which really helped propel me forward.

Word Count for the Week: 7,567
Next week’s challenge will be easy. I’m going to a writing retreat in the woods, so my challenge is to retreat and write. I have Friday, Monday, and Tuesday off, so we’ll see if there’s a bump in my productivity or if I need the retreat more than the word count.
