Who I Am

W. L. Bolm is a writer living in Wisconsin. They are also a technologist, teacher, former journalist, and Sister of Perpetual Indulgence. 

They volunteer in many roles, including as a Workshops co-lead for the feminist sci fi and fantasy conference WisCon and as the president of the board for Appleton Coworking. They have taken part in the WisCon Writing Workshop and recently workshopped a sci fi novella at Futurescapes.

Their nonfiction has appeared in many online and print publications, including The Tampa Tribune, the St. Petersburg Times (now the Tampa Bay Times), Creative Loafing, and I Need Diverse Games. Their fiction has won some local awards and has been published in The Truth Magazine and Amazing Fantastico: A Spectrum of Speculative Fiction. Their short story “Ephemeral Offerings” will be in the upcoming anthology 99 Fleeting Fantasies

Currently a Product Manager for a software company, they live in a small house in a small city that barely contains their menagerie of very cute and very naughty furry children. They are currently looking for a home for their recently finished novel about vampires suffering under capitalism, Undead, Get to Work!
